Our emergency plumbers respond quickly, assess the problem and carry out an effective repair during the initial visit wherever that is possible. Where a permanent fix needs parts or more time, we make the property safe and agree the follow up with you before we leave.

While you wait for us
First
Turn the water off
Find the stopcock, usually under the kitchen sink, and turn it clockwise. Only do this if you can reach it safely.
Then
Drain the system
Open the cold taps to take the pressure out of the pipework and reduce what is left to escape.
If water is near wiring
Switch the power off
Turn the electricity off at the consumer unit and keep everyone clear of the affected area.
Finally
Move what you can
Lift rugs, electricals and anything that matters out of the way, and put a bucket under an active drip.

Where the repair can be completed on the visit, it is. Where it cannot, we make the property safe and agree what happens next.
